WHAT IS A NAK MUAY NATION TRAINING CAMP?

Our goal for a Nak Muay Nation Training Camp is to help you unleash your full potential in a positive team environment. For you to engage in a once-in-a-lifetime experience training Muay Thai in its birthplace of Thailand with Champion level instruction.

This month's camp, training regimen and location is exceedingly special. It is the first time that we are offering the option of Black Belt instructed Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu and Team Quest famed MMA instruction in addition (or complimentary) to authentic Muay Thai training; all in the beautiful mountainous region of Chiang Mai, Thailand - the camp's first trip to the scenic North.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a complete beginner or seasoned fighter, as long as you’re a serious practitioner who wants to see incredible improvement in both your technique and conditioning, these training camps were made for YOU!

You’ll be following a professionally structured training regimen that consists of ALL the proven training methods that are essential to your Muay Thai development. These methods include all the basics (i.e. group runs, shadowboxing, pad work etc.) as well as more advanced training such as (controlled) sparring and technique drills. On top of that you’ll also have in-depth technique sessions, private instruction and seminars taught by your champion fighter host.

A Nak Muay Nation training camp is different than a typical camp because we take tremendous pride in creating a personal and unique experience that guarantees you come away from the camp with crisp striking technique, fight-ready conditioning and a dramatically improved fight IQ. *You will be a part of a private group with more personal training time and attention then the typical general public typically receives in Thailand*

On top of the daily two-a-day training regimens, you’ll also be a part of an intimate group of other passionate, motivated practitioners. All who are joined in at the camp for the same reason as you - to take your Muay Thai knowledge to the next level and to share the experience of a lifetime in a unique, transformative space.

Our aim is to have you come out of this camp a transformed student/fighter and to feel more motivated than ever.

We hope to reinvigorate your drive and passion for Muay Thai while encouraging you to continue pursuing your goals regardless of what they are. This camp will be an exciting adventure where you will improve your Muay Thai technique, get in phenomenal shape, detox your body and mind, develop a deeper connection with yourself and meet amazing people from all around the world. After hosting over a dozen successful retreats, many will tell you that it doesn't get much better than that!

Take a look at what to expect at one of these one-of-a-kind Muay Thai camps in the video below!

Travel to the mecca of Muay Thai and join us at the upcoming Nak Muay Nation training camp hosted at Team Quest - Chiang Mai, Thailand!

YOUR HOSTS

Sean Fagan A professional Muay Thai fighter and amateur champion from upstate New York. He has been training Muay Thai since 2010 and has been documenting his journey through the Muay Thai Guy Blog ever since, all in hopes to help and spread the sport of Muay Thai - teaching students about the beauty of this ancient martial art.

With a variety of experience working with some of the best fighters and coaches in the world Sean has an entire tool box of training methods, techniques and philosophies that he likes to share with the training camp.

Regardless of whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced fighter, Sean will make sure everyone enjoys their time at the camp regardless of their skill level! Also. . . there's a chance that you may end up watching him compete live during the camp!

"From the moment I met Sean, he was extremely friendly, down-to-earth, and just as excited as us to get training. He was a consummate professional, very knowledgeable, and patient. We all came from different martial arts backgrounds and experiences, but Sean was able to adapt and teach us appropriately. He focused not only on our strengths, but weaknesses, and I can safely say that I left as a better Muay Thai enthusiast." - Safi S.

During his move to Thailand he continued his professional career in Bangkok before living as the only Westerner sponsored under the Legend Namsaknoi (4-0 under his tutelage).

Paul has hosted camps and seminars around the world, including Costa Rica, Koh Phangan, Chiang Mai & Bangkok, Thailand, London, England, Various American gyms as well as the Limitless Camp Experience on the island of Koh Phangan. His mission for this upcoming camp is as follows:

I want to re-create the immersive and invaluable experiences that I have been blessed to have during my time in Thailand, those that have forever changed my view of the world.

My times collectively spent in Thailand have guided me through the different sections and subcultures training, each holding their own sense of beauty & purpose. A place where you can find the Yin and Yang we all seek, the perfect balance of work and play. The goal is to be surrounded by a team of like-minded individuals that enable you to be yourself, that challenge you in an uplifting fashion, and that will be your rock to lean on. What do I do if I get sick/injured?

Adequate travel insurance is crucial to insuring you have a safe trip. It is up to you to make sure you’re covered for the activities involved and to find to proper insurance for your stay.

There are pharmacies and doctors nearby, so if you get ill or injured we will make sure you get quality attention.

Do I need any vaccinations?

We highly recommend you speak to your doctor to see if you need any shots. They’ll have all the up to date information on any pills you may need or vaccinations you might want to consider. Getting them is time consuming, so leave at least 6 weeks to be safe.

Do I need a visa?

We recommend checking out your countries visa restrictions before booking your flight. For most countries you will receive a 30-day visa on arrival with no cost as long as you have booked a return flight. If you’d like to stay longer you can apply for a tourist visa for 60, 90 or 150 days, as well as the option of extending your visa on arrival by 30 Days. Go to thaivisa.com for more information.

How do I get around the area?

The "Grab" application will be your best friend. It is Thaiand's version of Uber that comes at an extremely low price. Thoug harderto communicate with, there are also local taxi’s that you can hop on and off of easily that will take you anywhere in the city.

You can also choose to rent a motorbike during your stay. However, tourists can be seriously injured because of motorbike accidents so we highly recommend either having a motorcycle license or at the very least experience riding a motorbike in the past. Motorbikes cost around 150-200 baht per day, but we can get in contact with local companies to sort a rental for 2000 baht per month or 1,000 baht for your 2 - Week stay.
